Having mentored The Kennel’s Head Coach Arvin Jugarap for a number of years, Nonito Donaire Sr. has given Coach Arvin the tools and experience necessary to bring the “Donaire System” of training to the Kennel boxing Gym.
Nonito Donaire Sr. is responsible for leading his son’s to victory on numerous occasions, capturing several championship titles and can occasionally be seen at the Kennel working with many of its members and amateur team. Nonito Donaire Sr. is undoubtedly the best boxing trainer from the Philippines coaching many up and coming prospects such as Marvin Sonsona and working the corner of some of boxing’s best like WBO Asia Pacific lightweight champion Michael Katsidis . Nonito Donaire Sr.’s son Glenn “The Filipino Bomber” continues to train at The Kennel Gym, teaming up with his dad upon every visit he makes back to the states.

Glenn “The Filipino Bomber” Donaire Under the tutelage of his father Nonito Donaire Sr. Glenn was able to compile an amateur record of 52-8, earning various local and regional titles. In 2002 Glenn won his first professional title defeating Wangponom Vor Saktawee for the WBO Asian Pacific flyweight title. In 2006 Glen won the NABO and NABA Flyweight title by defeating Cesar Lopez. Glenn’s current professional record stands at 17-4-1. Glenn can frequently be seen training at The Kennel with Head coach Arvin Jugarap while also coaching the amateur competition team.
Arvin Jugarap As the CEO of the Kennel Boxing Gym LLC, Arvin oversees the gym’s day-to-day operations and its departments. Over the past 10 years Arvin has worked as the assistant coach to Nonito Donaire Sr. His knowledge in strength and conditioning helped Nonito Donaire Sr. and his team capture their first world title in 2007. As Head Coach at the Kennel, Arvin routinely teaches the Adult beginner classes while also leading the Kennel’s amateur competition team. Arvin also serves as Head Coach to the stable of Professional fighters at The Kennel, such the former NABO and NABA Flyweight champion Glenn “The Filipino Bomber” Donaire.
Brian Jugarap As the CTO for the Kennel Boxing Gym LLC, Brian oversees all the technological applications that keep the gyms daily operations afloat. Brian is also a certified USA Boxing coach at the Kennel Boxing Gym, teaching all the Kids classes and Adult Intermediate classes while also assisting in the training of the Amateur Competition team. For many professional fights where Nonito Donaire Sr. led as head coach, Brian served as a corner man gaining the professional experience necessary to support the rising stable of fighters that the Kennel continuous to develop.
Diovanne Jugarap As CFO for the Kennel Boxing Gym LLC, Diovanne directs the company’s finances and manages both the inflow and outflow of cash. Setting budgets for each department, maintaining the accuracy of The Kennel’s books, and making recommendations on how to keep cost down and profits up are just a few of his day to day responsibilities. Dio frequently assist in coaching the members at the Kennel Boxing Gym offering his years of experience to those willing to learn.
Valerie Jugarap Valerie is undoubtedly the backbone of the Kennel’s daily operations. Valerie’s commitment, hard work, and assistance in every department is an integral part in keeping the day to day operations running smoothly. She is often quoted as being the friendly and smiling person behind The Kennel’s front desk. Valerie’s professionalism and kindness at the front desk is what helps set the positive and inviting tone that The Kennel continues to provide since its opening in January of 2009.
Derrick Cagaanan As CMO for The Kennel Boxing Gym LLC, Derrick is responsible for developing and overseeing The Kennel’s marketing programs. Derrick brings nearly 10 years of sales and marketing experience to the Kennel and is a certified USA Boxing Coach teaching the adult intermediate classes. Derrick also manages and develops sponsorship programs for The Kennel’s professional roster, including such rising stars as Ana’ The Hurricane” Julaton and Glenn “The Filipino Bomber” Donaire.
